Friday's Disappointment:
Friday looked lost, Friday the King of the Jews was beaten beyond recognition. He was whipped, smacked, punched and had His beard ripped out. What looked as if it was the end of the Prophet was happening in the public eye for everyone to see. A man who had done nothing wrong, receiving a beating that even the worst criminal or law braker wouldn't receive. A moment where He would show in His human form the worst possible beating. The King would walk
through the crowds of people being humiliated and laughed at. Then if that wasn't enough, He was forced to carry a cross. a heavy beam across his shoulders, all while feeling every bump and hole in the road as He walked. Finally, He made it to the top of the hill, what you think would end the punishment continued. They drove nails in His hands and feet, cast lots for His Robe, placed a crown on His head and hung Him on the cross to die. The pain from the weight of His body pulling His shoulders out of place, His skin pulling against the grain of the cross.
Then with one last gasp of air He said "IT IS FINISHED''.
Marking the completion of the job He was sent to do. Marking the end of the sacrifice. Marking the End of a life lived for more.
The vail tore at the temple, the ground shook, thunder and lightening filled the air, ALL OF CREATION MOANING at the sight of His death.
BUT
Sunday was coming
He said it would be 3 days
He said I will rise again
He said it, He meant it
Sunday's Empty Tomb:
Suddenly, a might rumble of the ground happened. The stone rolled away and the KING OF KINGS, LORD OF LORD, SAVIOR, MESSIAH, rose with victory, defeating death, hell and the grave.
THE SAVIOR IN ALL POWER AND WITH ALL AUTHORITY LEFT THE GRAVE EMPTY and BEGAN TO MAKE HIS MIRACULOUS RETURN TO HEAVEN, SITTING AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER MAKING INTERCESSION FOR US.
FRIDAY DIDN'T LOOK GOOD
BUT
SUNDAY VICTORY WAS COMPLETED
